Vista Update Error 80070424

Hi there,

when running windows update on my Vista x64 OS I receive the following error:

Windows could not search for new updates
Error(s) found:
Code 80070424

I UNsuccessfully tested all the KB solutions I could find on MS support as well as those proposed on the forums including:

running regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll

Which does NOT work for x64

Reading from my x64 compatriate posts it seems Microsoft has left it's x64 community in the lure in providing a solution.

The answer is not easy -the same WU error maybe cause by different reasons.It maybe trouble with BITS,Windows Installer,Windows Update or Windows Modules Installer trouble -last time there are full these error caused by Windows Modules Installer damaged -read exactly this post:http://www.vistax64.com/1088791-post8.html

Exactly explain whats happens now I even don't know exactly what you did.Do you have the still the same error message?If yes make log from VistaForum SysInfo Tool http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/176785-vistaforums-sysinfo-tool.html
(select all in this tool) and log attache to post.
