Fastest update to SP2?

I´ve got some (alot) Probs. with my Vista Home Premium x64.
The latest is that Windows Installer don´t work anymore. I´ve tried repair, search for problem solutions, made sure it´s set to manual etc. etc.
So now i´m facing a complete reinstall of my OS due to multiple errors lately.

Now to my Q: -My original Vista CD contains no service packs. The last time i reinstalled my OS it took about 1 week until automatic updates gave me the SP2.
Is there a quicker way? Can i DL SP1 and SP2 and install them without using the automatic update?
Or do i have to use it in order to get the updates in a specific order?

Sorry for bad gramma! Hope you understand what i mean!

No need to update all securityupdates prior to Sp1 and Sp2 before doing so then?

If it´s so i´d be happy.

SP1 and SP2 are on Microsoft homepage, are´nt they?

First I suggest try my method to fix Windows Installer -Import attached fix to registry and replace msiexec.exe file (file is stored in C:\Windows\System32) with my attached file

my fix to registry for Windows installer http://www.vistax64.com/attachments/vista-general/15762d1253289420-installer-error-msiserver.zip

msiexec.exe (for x64 systems)

View attachment msiexec.zip

If it also don't help and you let me view into your system maybe I could fix the issue -I need log from VistaForumsysInfoTool http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/176785-vistaforums-sysinfo-tool.html

You do not need to install anything but SP1 and SP2 to get to SP2, as for the waiting, you do not need to wait.

Here are the installers;

Windows Vista SP1 x64 (5 Language)
Windows Vista SP2 x64 (5 Language)

Seeing as you are having multiple errors with things, it might just be best and faster to do a clean install, prior to installing these. Though if you wish to do otherwise that is your choice. :)
