| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Why does vista keep updating? Thanks for all you help people. I'm gonna try to do your #8 post. Someone also suggested installing the updated one by one. However I don't recall this option being anywhere and there is only the option to "install updates" from what I've seen. Help. |

| Vista Bussiness x64 PL | Re: Why does vista keep updating? 1.Try install hotfixes on clean boot How to perform a clean boot procedure to determine whether background programs are interfering with a game or a program that you currently use 2.Try first install this hotfix:August 2009 Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 Application Compatibility Update |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Why does vista keep updating? First one I don't see the relevance. Second is installing an update. Problem is the only 3 (mandatory) updates I cannot even install. I think post #8 nailed it but I haven't tried it yet. Don't see how any of those tell me how I can install updates one by one. Isn't there just an option like "install updates 1 by 1"? |

| Vista Bussiness x64 PL | Re: Why does vista keep updating? I suspect any undentified 3p application cause this problem and thus I offer clean boot which disable all non-system services from 3p applications, and try Application Compatbility hotfix which can solve some issues with 3p applications as well Quote: Second is installing an update. | Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Why does vista keep updating? And now the last thing that has yet to fail me is completely uninstalling Office. WTF Microsoft? Why are you having issues with your own products? Microsoft Vista can't install updates for a MICROSOFT product, Office? Give me a break. It is definitely not third party interfering because I did a clean boot and it still failed. I installed a new OSX or whatever file from the Office CD and that did nothing, as well. ANYONE ELSE here have Office 2003? |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Why does vista keep updating? New error code this time: ![]() Another thing worth showing: ![]() Does the latter have anything to do with the fact I can't install updates (the only ones I can't install are the Office 03 ones though, so others I am able to install)? |
