Have recently noticed that Windows update has stopped working on my Windows Vista home Premium(64 Bit) system. I get 0x80070424 error for the "windows update" or any update that I try to install for a software. I have tried to apply solutions provided by people on forums but it's not working. I tried to install SP2 in my system but even that resulted in the same error.

I tried the solution below on Windows website but it was all already working
