    Vista Ver

Had to do a full re-install of Vista 32 bit.

Have run Windows update .. and it installed loads of these ... yet if I go to start > computer > properties
It does not show sp1 ?

I assume therefore that this is still not fully up to date, how can I force it to pick up necessary updates other than using Windows Update ?

I attach screen snap shot of Vista properties

    Hello Tafflad,

You would normally just need to keep checking for updates in Windows Updates, and installing them as available. Eventually the SP1 will be available, and eventually the SP2.

If you like, you could also download the standalone SP1 installer at the link below to use instead though.

Why SP1 may not be available for you and how to get it

Afterwards, you can then do the same for the SP2.

Download available for Standalone Vista SP2

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Should have asked earlier :-)
It took 3 days of 'windows updates' before it got to SP1 installed ...
Now finally today it has installed SP2
