Windows Update Question

I restarted (rebooted) my computer and after boot up I got a screen that said 14 of 14 updates were in progress and do not shut down or turn off. I waited 30 minutes and the screen did not change. So, I finally turned off my computer.

I then checked my Windows update log and it listed 14 updates installed.

Should I worry that I turned off my computer before instructing to do so?

When you shut down before hand there are 2 kinds of potential damage.
First to the Operating System Make an SFC check to see if that is OK
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - Windows 7 Help Forums
The second is to the hard drive. Make a chkdsk to correct any problems
Disk Check - Windows 7 Help Forums
In step 4 check both boxes. It will take several hours but it will fix any corrupted segments
Any actual damaged area to the hard drive, will not be used after the chkdsk.
