| Guest | WinFS visual designer? I know it's *way* too earlier to be asking this question/making this suggestion, but anyway: Do you think we'll see a day when designing custom types for WinFS can be done visually, with a tool like the Typed DataSet Designer in Visual Studio? It would rock if I could design my entire WinFS "schema" (all the custom types and their relationships) visually. Anyway, just thought I'd put that out there. Keep up the good work! Matt ps. Is this newsgroup still relevant now that we have the "Search, Organize and Visualize in Windows Vista" forum on MSDN? Should I be posting there instead of (or as well as) here? |

| Guest | Re: WinFS visual designer? Hi Matt, We're planning on delivering a set of developer tools with the SDK and a standalone and VS-integrated "WinFS Type Designer" is one of those tools we're looking into. We haven't yet finalized the exact timeframe this will be released. And yes, this is still the place to go for WinFS questions. :-) Thanks for your input, vijay -- Vijay R.
