Build 5384 internet connection issue?

Installed build 5384 on Virtual Server 2005 R2. LAN is visible but can't
browse internet via IE. Any idea?

The same with Longhorn build 5384 on the same box. Internet works fine.

Re: Build 5384 internet connection issue?

Make sure that your DNS settings are correctly put in the IPv4 settings of
the networking device.

I already checked that. They are the same as on the host machine.

Disabled IPv6 too. The issue still there.

RE: Build 5384 internet connection issue?

Well, at least I'm not the only one with this problem. My network connection
seems to be working as from a command window I can ping my bridge (wireless
AP), gateway (wireless router), and DNS (at ISP). Not only that, but the DNS
is also resovling names to ping servers on the internet. IE works to access
HTML management pages for the AP and wireless.

I have fiddled with the network and IE configuration but nothing seems to
make IE work beyond the router...

HELP!!!

Found a solution......

Install FireFox.

That's ridiculous.

RE: Found a solution......

I can connect to the internet and join my domain, I can surf no problem but
under Network Center there is no connection to the internet. I get a "Windows
cannot find "www.microsoft.com" using DNS" error. Yet I have activated my
Beta online and now I cannot activate my Office 2007 online as it says
there's no Internet Connection. Any ideas? My DNS is resolving all my names
and all network activity is normal!!
