errors for the 'great' installation of vista

well i was expecting the vista installation to be quite efficient and
enjoyable to install. Instead, it has gave me hundreds of problems.

I have burnt the dvd about 3 times.
I have downloaded the iso about 3-4 times
I have tryed to install in windows and on boot up.

All have different error situations.

Sometimes i get "Corrupt" on windows, sometimes i get write errors and
sometimes i just get iso file could not be opened. The furthest i have got in
my.. 20 times of attempts.. is about 80% on the 'copying to windows' section.

Microsoft should be alot better than this, i hope to god its me at fault

ps. My computers do meet the specifications.

Is there anything i may be doing wrong? or is this a conspiracy against all
packard bell computers:-@.

Any help is greatly appreciated :-)

RE: errors for the 'great' installation of vista

You might want to check the suggestions on
http://www.vistabase.co.uk/welcome.php?getstarted

Especially the part about verifying the ISO

You can use the VCDControl Tool on XP or W2k3 and mount the iso as a virtual
CD drive. This way you don't have burn the DVD and can check if you can use
the iso or not. I mounted the ISO file and copied the contents to a separate
folder on my USB harddrive, then used that file set under XP to install
Vista. Works like charm and no DVD was harmed during the process.
