Windows Mail problem

When I double click on a message it pops up as it should but it won't display images or the htmls on the pane as it did before. And when I double click on an attachment I get an error message that states "Windows cannot find "XXXXX.jpg". Make sure you typed the name correctly, then try again." I think it may have something to with the C drive being full, although I haven't received any warnings about that from my OS. Could it be a ram problem? I'm just scratching my head over this. Also, here are my specs maybe that theroot of the problem is there:

Sounds familar....what I want you to do is right-click on your mail icon., then check properties...I suspect you will see nothing in the field titled "Start in:".

Try this....

Click on "start-programs-windows mail" then try the attachment. If it works, delete the old non-working icon. I have had a similar problem and heard things from microsoft techs advising me to uninstall IE8 and do this and do that....I finally tried the above remedy, 2 minutes of time and it worked....

Check it out...it's simple....if it still does not work then I bump...

I have %UserProfile% in the Start in field. What do I do afterwards?

I think I just fixed my problem, in case anyone is wondering. It seems I had a maleware/virus problem. I tried running Avast and it showed I had no infections, so I ran spybot and when it was time to click the "fix selected problems" button it wouldn't work. So I finally tried Super Anti Spyware (trial version) it cleared everything up. I had to use because at one point I was even locked out of my computer.
