Solved Dial up pop-up preventing Mail from working

Hi,
I see there have been posts on this topic but I have not found a solution.

Problem: I had a dial-up account and an account for google mail (it is the default).
I moved and now have a wire-less connection which is working. I removed the dial-up account. Now when I start my Windows mail a dial-up connection window pops up and asks me to connect.

Attempted fixes: In Mail, I go to Properties for the gmail account (which is now the only account set-up) and click on the connections tab. It will not respond. In explorer I have gone to tools/internet options and verified that the dial-up options are off. They are grayed out.

Any ideas on what to try next?
Dan

    Other Info
Weakest part of my computer is the graphics chipset.
    Only ever used a laptop.
Also use USB Freeview TV Card
    Lenovo Docking Station
    External Speakers
Other bits a pieces as needed
That was unchecked already. I went in and removed all accounts (1 webmail account with no dial up settings) and then recreated it. That solved the issue.
Thanks
