hello all, thought I was updating my email (Windows Live, Hot mail ) to a newer version
but sucked into being sent to MyQwest.com for email. I hate the format and want to get back to my original windows live account. Have tried everything to get back even
system restore. I can not find a way back. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi,

Sorry to sound a bit dumb, but: -
  1. What redirects you to MyQwest.com?
  2. What software do you use to access your messages?
  3. What update did you do?
Without a full picture it is difficult to help.

thought the upgrade was for my current windows live mail, but it changed where I get my email. Now I have to go to MyQwest.com to retrieve my email. Qwest is very
tricky. My windows live account will not receive mail but it will send to MyQwest.com,
is there a pblm with pop3? I went back to try and recreate my @q.com mail but still
won't work

You have to set it up correctly. I think these are the most current settings. If they do not work, go to the qwest website to get the most up to date.

The following appears to be the email configuration for Quest q.com email:

1. Incoming mail server: pop3.live.com
2. Outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com
3. Usernames are your complete email address ([email protected])
4. Incoming mail port is set to 995 (The SSL box should be checked.)
5. Outgoing mail port is set to 25.
6. Use Secure Connection (SSL) and use Authentication (ESMTP)
