content not showing on browser (chrome)

hi

i have an issue when loading pages

ill type in the web address hit enter and it goes to the address however no content shows on the page? the tab shows the address etc but no content within the browser window sometimes will show banners etc but not the entire web page and will not let me scroll or select anything? if i then open another tab whilst keeping the 1st open flick to the 2nd tab then back to the first. upon returning to the first the content will load? it isnt a matter of patience as i have waited and waited to test if it was loading time etc. it will only appear when i use the method mentioned above?
