Lost email accounts & emails

Hi ,
Just opended up windows mail , to find all saved emails & email accounts gone

    have done a system restore but no luck . i know that once i view or save an email , then it leaves the email server , But are they stored on my computer ?? think i have found an area where they are stored C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail .... but can i recover ???

Do you use Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail, because they are two different applications.

Go to Windows Mail and then click Tools and then select Accounts. When the window pops up,click on your account and click Set As Default​. See if that worked.

It seems that because of a malfunction the email may be lost. Lets try this free software to get to see if we can recover.
Shadow Explorer is probably your best choice at this juncture. Regarless of the results, now, always back up your stuff.

There's no way to reset the password just by sending to the alternate email you put when you signed up? if so try that. otherwise try writing an email to yahoo. They should be able to help you. I had the same problem about 6months ago I had used yahoo a long time ago and used it for myspace. When i decided to actually use my myspace I needed my old yahoo Id info and i had switched to msn hotmail/live. Try contacting yahoo like i did. thry won't leave you hang. Hope you resolve this, I know how darn irritating it is.
