BSOD booting with 6gb

Hi guys, i recently built a new system.
Spec:

intel i7 920 D0
3x2GB Kingston HyperX - 16000
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R motherboard
Asus Geforce ENGTX295
1x Samsung 500GB
1x Samsung 1TB
BFG 850w PSU

Now installing is ok, its the running that seems to be the issue, with ANY combination of 4GB sticks in dual channel the system run perfectly. The moment i stick that 3rd stick (any stick) in it BSODs when booting.

BSOD, Stop Error, 0x0000007E

ive run the memory check in Vista on combinations of 2 memory, no errors.
The mobo only has 4 memory slots, slots _1, _3, _4 are for tri-channel. theyre in correctly. Increasing the voltage to recommended levels changes the BSOD error message but not much more.

BSOD, Stop Error, 0x0000000A, with the message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

now from what i can find switching the hardware over does not fix the issue, from the 2/3 other people i can find whove had this, they replaced all the parts and got the same issue.

oh and ive upgraded the BIOS to version F5, which is the highest non beta driver. Also upgraded the chipset drivers, graphics drivers, Physx drivers.

all i can find is something about a 32 bit memory controller issue with vista? though i dunno about that.

any thoughts guys?
