I am aware the blue screen of death post has probably been up here a few times but I haven't found any real solutions as of yet. Maybe somebody has an answer to this problem.
My steps have been:
1. From the Windows Error recovery screen, I click Start Windows Normally and it takes me to unmountable boot volume error screen. Reboot.
2. From the same screen, I then choose Launch Startup Repair. The screen flashes like it wants to continue but reverts back to this screen. No matter how many times I click Repair - or even when I wait for the countdown to choose it itself - it always flashes and returns to this screen. Reboot.
3. I put in the Vista OS disc and click "any button" to boot from CD/DVD. Windows loads files, then remains blank. The disc says it is used to reinstall the OS. Is this also the recovery tool CD people are talking about?
Any suggestions? Thanks much.
