BSOD before logon - need help ASAP! thanks

I am trying to help a friend with his computer. He had a malware antivirusGT, and we were having problems removing it because it wasn't allowing us to log in under Safe Mode (we would just get a black screen). Then we started getting the BSOD memory_management crash dump error with 0x0000001a before windows even loads. It won't let us get past the boot up menu before it does the crash dump, so we can't even get into vista to log in. Rebooting in safe mode and normal mode gets the same error, and so does restoring to last good system config. We don't have an OS disc because it came preloaded. Is there anything we can do to get past this and get logged into vista?

Thanks for any help offered!

The system should have a recover partion, something like f10 on boot.

You might also want to try testing your memory with memtest86+ Its a standalone bootable memory tester.
