Hi welcome to the forum.
Due to your unexpected crashes & problems. I will contact a forum expert in BSOD's to take a look at your problem.
They are busy people, and because of different time zones are not always immediately available.
Therefore I would ask you to be patient & someone will be along as soon as practical.
Thank you for your patience.
Please download the link below. The expert will no doubt require you to send reports, this may be required for the despatch of said reports.:-

Hello and welcome to the Vista Forums!

Often more than one report is required, because we are primarily looking for patterns in inexact reports. However, I have analysed what you have provided me with.

Although I cannot be certain, it looks as though your BSoD was caused by AVG.

My recommendation would be to remove AVG, and make sure that it cannot be that. If you are un/less willing to do this, then I completely understand, and we can wait for more reports and clues.

I would reccomend the free Microsoft Security Essentials as an excellent alternative (better than AVG many would say, including both security experts and BSoD experts) If you choose this, as I strongly recommend, download the installer from here, and save it to your Desktop: www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Then download the AVG removal tool from here: Comprehensive List of Uninstallers or Removal Tools for Antivirus Software | Raymond.CC Blog

Restart your computer, and immediately install Microsoft Security Essentials and update it.

Lastly, please tell me what you chose to do about AVG, and if you do receive any more BSoDs, please run this tool instead: http://www.vistax64.com/crashes-debugging/282419-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

Thanks!

Richard

Hello!

I did try to uninstall AVG via the given link but it did not remove the program. So I also tried to uninstall it myself which did not work either, for it said there was a missing file. I tried installing it again with the hope to have this missing file back and uninstall it but now it won't work properly again. So I ended up unable to install or uninstall it.
Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance

My Computer

Any log is good for examination and analysis.
It is a much more thorough & exact assessment by posting through the BSOD Posting Instruction method.
However if this is not possible, it will have to be whatever you are able to do.
Someone will look through the logs whenever possible & advise of any course of action.
If you can send any BSOD logs by Posting method, that would be good.
Thank you.

KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR (77)
The requested page of kernel data could not be read in. Caused by
bad block in paging file or disk controller error.
In the case when the first arguments is 0 or 1, the stack signature
in the kernel stack was not found. Again, bad hardware.
An I/O status of c000009c (STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR) or
C000016AL (STATUS_DISK_OPERATION_FAILED) normally indicates
the data could not be read from the disk due to a bad
block. Upon reboot autocheck will run and attempt to map out the bad
sector. If the status is C0000185 (STATUS_IO_DEVICE_ERROR) and the paging
file is on a SCSI disk device, then the cabling and termination should be
checked. See the knowledge base article on SCSI termination.
Arguments:
Arg1: 00000001, (page was retrieved from disk)
Arg2: 00000000, value found in stack where signature should be
Arg3: 00000000, 0
Arg4: 8a43f8c0, address of signature on kernel stack

Hi!

How exactly do I scan the Memory for errors?
And while changing the Pagefile it said if I choose to disable it, it might no longer make a record of the errors which may occur. Is that the intention?

My Computer

A Pagefile is used when you run low on RAM (Memory) So Disable it for now

To Check your Memory follow the proceedure in the .ZIP File

Then Restart your Computer

Hope This Helps,
Josh

Yes, I did have Blue screens today and after that the laptop kept freezing so it was hard to save them and post them here. Actually I re-installed Windows but haven't had the time to use the laptop since then. Will run the check for the hard drive.
