I offered to help fix a friend's laptop which was infected with a virus and now I believe the vsavb7rt.dll file has been corrupted or something.
I got rid of the virus with Malwarebytes then did a bit of clean up and ran the registry cleaner from ccleaner. Now every time I try to do a full virus/malware scan with any software the computer freezes whenever the scan is checking the file vsavb7rt.dll
I found a bunch of site which have some scans to check/repair the file or have it for download, but they all look shady. Anyone know about this file or what could be causing the computer to freeze whenever doing a scan?
The laptop is running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bits.
