Hi,
I hope someone can help. I've tried to set up both burp and webscarab proxy on both IE and Mozilla firefox but pages are just loading to about 30% of load bar and no more. Error message says: "Web Proxy is not set up to establish a connection on port "8008" with this computer. port 8008 is the default port for webscarab. I've set both webscarab and IE/Firefox proxy settings (through internet options) to localhost on port 8008. Is it simply that it needs to be set to a different port - if so how do i find out/detect which one is the correct one, or is there something completely different I need to do?

I'm using Vista home basic 32-bit, IE8, Mozilla FireFox 10.0.2

Hello, I found some info on Burp proxy : Using Burp Proxy

When Burp Proxy is launched, the HTTP/S proxy service is started automatically on port 8080 of the loopback interface only. To start using Burp Proxy, simply configure your browser to use a proxy server on 127.0.0.1:8080, and begin browsing.

thanks for the help, I've got burp suite working - still not quite right with webscarab but I think it's because i'm not using it correctly.
