Invalid Partition Table Error after running TDSS Killer

Ran TDSSKiller in response to "winrscmde has stopped working" pop-ups, which resulted in one malicious and one suspicious file found. Following the advice of a website, I selected "clean" for the malicious one and "delete" for the suspicious one (which seems so stupid now that I think about it).

Upon restarting, I got an invalid partition error

Tried startup repair and windows recovery, which did not work

Tried /fixmbr and /fixboot which resulted in getting rid of the invalid partition error, but it still hangs at the same spot during boot

Not sure how to proceed from here, or even how I can track down the TDSSkiller log to try and find what was deleted.

Thanks for any help.

I seem to recall that, if generated, a log is kept in the same location as the TDSSKiller exe file.

TDSS often infects a storage driver - and TDSSKiller will remove that. You'll have to replace it with a known good copy. If you can't find a copy of the driver, post back and I'll see what I can find.

It also infects the partition table - so that's the reason for the partition table error after removing it.

If simply replacing the driver doesn't fix it, then it's likely that a registry entry is missing.
If it's a 3rd party driver just reinstall the driver(s) using the manufacturer's installation package
If it's a Windows driver, post back and we'll see about manually editing the registry.

I don't know if a TDSSKiller log is found in the same location as the .exe file, but there's definitely one found in the root directory (usually C:\) that's named TDSSKiller.[Version]_[Date]_[Time]_log.txt :)
