Hi,

I tried installing ubuntu with my external hdd on, and after it was installed on my HDD, my 250 GB became 150 GB. Is there a way i can get 250 GB back?

Please see attached file.

Thanks!

2.jpg - 77 GB is in a partitioned drive, which doesnt have a volume label. When i right click there, i see only help and "Delete Volume.."

1.jpg - If i delete, will all my 77 gb get lost?

How would i get my 250 gb back?

My Computer

Heyy,
Welcome to Vista Forums!! :party::party:

Okay, here's what you want to do.

  • Uninstall ubuntu from the Hard Drive if you haven't done so already.
  • Select the partition Ubuntu was installed on, take note of the size. Right click it, and delete it.
  • Select the original partition of the drive, right click, and click extend partition.
  • A new window will come up asking for the size you want to extend by, it should already be the correct size. this is why you took note of the partition size earlier, just in case it wasn't.
  • Click okay/next and it will put the partition back to how it used to be.

Good luck!
If you need any help, just post back!

Daniel ;)
