Hi, my Toshiba Satellite A200 keyboard doesn't work it appears to think the CTRL button is being held down sometimes, but not all the time, is there a way to disable the keyboard and just plug in a usb keyboard without completely taking apart the computer and taking out the keyboard?

If this is in the wrong spot sorry :S

Welcome
First yours is a unique question, never had it before.
Might try going to search by the start button.
Type device manager.
In device manage lookd for the keyboard driver and disable it.

Are you in an adminstrator account when you try to disable?

It will lock the keys. As far as your considered its disabled. But try the adminstrator account, first.

As I said I have never used the software. I gave you that information so that you would read about it before trying. If it can be turned off easily and you feel its for you give it a try. If you feel uncomfortable dont try.
See if this administrator can disable for you.

BTW it should be easy to reinstall the driver is you uninstall. You can do it the same way that you uninstalled, from the device manager.
That being said, I only give advice. The final decision will always be yours. You must feel comfortable with anything that you try.
