Intel USB 3.0 driver

MountainVista

Hi.

I would like to install this driver. As we all know, Intel do not officially support Vista.

However...as you can see, Server 2008 R2 is supported. Thus, this driver should technically work for Vista SP2.

The obvious problem is that the installer is OS-blocking the driver install. So, my question is to anyone in-the-know; is there a hack that can be implemented in one of the driver files that will allow me to install it?

Thank you :)

Windows 2008 r2 is based on 7 not Vista. Neither Vista nor it's server version 2008 are listed as supported OSs. What message are you getting from Vista?

the Intel USB 3.0 driver setup program will effectively block (prevent) installation under XP & Vista saying the driver is not supported under this OS and quit.

OP has to upgrade to Win7 to install the Intel USB 3.0 driver.
