Crysis

Installed Crysis last night. It took about 10-20 minutes to install. I left it in default mode and played it. It runs good and graphics are cool. Still need to check the settings for my 8800GTS 640MB card.

I'm surprised, with your rig, that it didn't max everything out.

If I had a better video card, you need a pair of 8800s or a 8800 GX2.

Anyone else had or know of the bug in the game that wont let you rescue the hostage in the village ?

I get to the village after taking out the radar station on top of the hill and make it to the room where the woman is held. Everything goes ok and I go and take out the 2 tanks from the roof, but the woman and english bloke just stay in the room doing nothing.
Drove me up the wall, as I've played right through and beaten the game on my old machine. Loading an old save wont work either.

Is it just a general bug ?

yea, I had the same problem, its apparently a bug that happens when its set to high quality and you use quick save.

Just run up the river behind the village and keep going.

Look froward to the warship battle, Its so buggy, it took me 4 hours to finish it.
falling through the deck, aliens turn invisible, aliens disappear, TAC cannon wont lock on...
