Windows Vista 64 Bit - Program Compatibility List | Tech Supersite Network

It looks like they tested all but the Ultimate Collection there, though looking at the www.gamesforwindows.com website, I can see that all of the Zoo Tycoon 2 games are Games for Windows certified, which I think means that they should all be Vista 64-bit compatible. However, I've also heard some reviews on the Ultimate Collection, where the disk does not work, so I dont know if you'll be one who gets the faulty disk, but you could always try. If possible, ask someone you know who has the game to test it on 64-bit Vista, or ask to borrow it and try.

If you'd rather not take the risk, you would probably be safe to buy the other versions of the game.

vista 64 runs ALL 32 bit applications, like the compatability mode for xp, vista 64 runs applications in 32 bit mode where 64 bit is not available, here is my task manager running, notice the *32 next to some applications

I have the same problem. I had Zoo Tycoon 2 running on my Windows Vista 64 Home Edition and my wife recently purchased the Ultimate Collection. Although the game successfully installs it will not run even when I use Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode. Has anyone figured out a way to get ZT2 UC to work on a WinVista 64 OS?

My Computer

Thanks for the reply but I have it working on a 32 bit machine (I had to do something to satisfy my 8 year old) but I have installed/re-installed and looked for patches to try and get this to work on a 64bit OS (that's the computer she primarily uses). We just bought ZT2 UC at Target yesterday and its a Windows Games certified application so I can't figure out why it's not working.

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
