Ventrilo w/ World of Warcraft

Can it be done on Vista64?

I know that I need to run both programs with admin rights. I do that, and I still can not get it to work. Actually, I got it to work once. But then I tried to do it again a few days later and now I can't get my voice to be heard.

I can hear the clicks during WoW when I hit my Push-to-Talk key. But no one can hear my voice. Also, when I try to test Ventrilo, I do not hear anything when I talk. But if I flick or blow into my headset, it picks it up, just EXTREMELY faint in playback. The same is true when I try to monitor the input (button next to the test feature in vent). I speak, and it is straight "0" down the board. But once I blow or flick the mic, it jumps up to 5,8,11, etc until I stop.

I tried to flick and blow into the mic during WoW, and peeps in my guild said that they could hear that.

Is there any help you guys can offer to me?

Yes you need to get the version of vent that is compatible with Vista64, your other issue seems to be with your MIC. I would go over the settings make sure you have it adjusted to work properly volume/boost etc. You shouldnt have any issue running vent and WoW, your issue seems to be with your output from your mic, aka the recording playback.

That's right... download the right version of Ventrilo and (in ventrilo) open the setup and select the right microphone. If that doesn't help, then make sure your microphone is well configured in windows and check that the in-game voice chat feature in WoW is dissabled too.

Cheers,
