Hey there,
Im having the some issues, it only started a few weeks ago.
My computer specs are as follows:

HP Compaq Presario, CQ50 Notebook
Windows Vista Home Premium
AMD Turion Duel core RM-70 2.0 ghz
Nvidia Geforce 8200M G

It happens while in on wireless connection or wired. I play World of Warcraft, in a hardcore raiding guild, and its really starting to mess up my raiding. The spikes happen every 25-30 sec, and last for up to 5 sec, and 50% of the time i get disconnected.
If someone could help me out that would be awesome!
Thanks in advance

It could be that your internet isnt fast enough on your wireless connection. Do you know if you have Wireless N connectivity? If you don't then that may be the issue. Have you tested this theory using an Ethernet cable? Let us know.

Also it could be your graphics are locking up under the extreme circumstances of those interactions. Are you using the graphics setting on high or lower settings? If you are on high try reducing it to a lower setting and try it out wirelessly. This may solve your problems for you.

Hope this helps.

as well as what the above poster said i also experience intence lag spikes in world of warcraft however with alot of help from my isp i found i was getting insane packet loss from the blizzard servers.

i asked my isp and they aggreed to monitor my connection to wow for 1 evening during peak times and mail me the results, i asked them to do it for a more objective approach to the issue than what i would have had not to mention it's there network, i forwarded all the data i got to blizzard all stamped up and signed off by my isp..still waiting for a responce lol.

some servers are just unplayable right now for what could be countless reasons over populated or hardware issues, client side issues are common as well some addons you use could be dragging your connection more than others trying to feed you more info than your connection can handle.

blizzard are aware of these lag issues if they aren't then they are pretty stupid, asking on the tech support forum gets you the same responce every time..it's your fault.. never theirs. 23 isps lagging in a raid disagree though.

sadly there really is nothing that can be done short of checking with your own isp running a trace route to your server and seeing if the packet loss is between you and the game server or at the game server or your end.

if the packet loss is at the blizzard servers..good luck getting blizzard to deal with it.
