I have tried to install some programs that my system* vista basic* says cannot run in full screen mode

Do you mean you saw nothing or nothing that helped?

yeah I couldn't understand, they said about black screens. my system brings up a box that says cannot run in full screen mode. where would I change program compatiability mode for the game? again I cannot get to the point where it will install all the way

Maybe you could right-click the icon of the program you are trying to run and click Properties->Compatibility
Then try to fiddle around with the settings or running as Administrator.

nothing I can find or figure out yet. the program is duke nukem 3d.

i could probably figure a way to "give it to you" if you want, but I cant figure out how to get it to work and I havn't played it for welp long time myself and welp I don't care if it dum or not dum cause I wanna play it anyway. welp let me know.

Right click the program file and go to properties there should be a box to check to run it in compatibility mode, though I think it only gives XP mode as an option.
