Your problem is your gpu, aka video card, isn't good.

To upgrade your card you need a bigger power supply. This is a pain due to being a small form system.

This one should work just fine:
Athena Power AP-TFX35 350W TFX12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply for many HP Slimline System Upgrades/Replacement - Newegg.com

Then you can get a low profile card like this gt 520
ASUS GT520-1GD3-CSM GeForce GT 520 (Fermi) Video Card - Newegg.com

And you'd have the best system you can out of it.

The above will run about $120 for the upgrade, and it should okay.

When you say it's "slow" can you descride it more?
These smaller systems are notiorious for overheating and throttling, have you checked temperatures?

D/l hwmonitor and run it as you play and see what your max temperatures hit.
CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

Yha definately check your temperatures.

Have you tried saying "I think I can I think I can" as you start slowing down? Worked for the little Engine that could... Might help you.

Yup. way more than you need. it'll last along time.

I'd even go as far as calling them up and asking if you can get it with a 600W power supply, so you can put a better video card in later.

Personally, if you can afford it, I'd go with a bigger form system which allows more customization in the future. The Alien 51 base looks like it's a i3 which I think is an attempt to get rid of them. Although suitable for what you want to do, I'd go with something that has i7. The cost wouldn't be that much greater. For instance, look at this (note that I'm not advertizing or endorsing any particular product)- Customize Gamer Infinity 8000 Gaming PC

No matter what you buy, I'd stay away from AMD graphics. It's clear that NVIDIA designs are faster (I have a feeling I'll get some argument here).

No not at all. An i7 is a total waste of money. Tops for gaming is an i5. You realise an i3 performs as well as amd x4s?

With Alienware... Though its not my recomendation, can have a cpu upgrade later when needed... Though it'll be along time.

I can't find a vreason to repladce my i7 950 at vall as its not even being stressed.

It's a moot point but I wouldn't think a i5 would be better than an i7 at gaming or anything else. i7 might be overkill. I'm just thinking that, if you're going to lay out bucks for a new system, go for the gusto within your spending limits.

The argument I thought I would get was over the AMD versus NVIDIA graphics card performance.

Why waste money for no benifit ever. The money is best served getting a top quality psu, case or a gpu.

AMD only problem is their drivers have issues on release..
