Im experiencing some nasty lag and choppy sound in WoW.
I created a gaming user and disabled all visual enhancements that make Vista cool. This was a last ditch effort to gain some RAM availablity. I have 1 gig of DDR2 and the PC uses nearly 60% at all times. The gameplay got a little better after changing to the classic theme, but the sound is incredicly stocatto. It sounds like a gattling gun. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to use hardware profiles to get games to run better in Vista. My goal is to create a trimmed down gaming user to effectively run games on 1 gig of RAM.
I ordered another 2 gigs but they won't be here for at least a week.
Anyone have anything like this setup?
