Talk about annoying. I turned on my USB scanner! How dare I! Clearly I must be a pirate! Having to waste time on the phone with someone I can hardly understand trying to convince them I really did buy it is freaking annoying.
I am so close to going back to XP. The only thing stopping me is that my wife will give me grief for buying Vista and then going back to XP. That and I will only get to use 3GB of the 4GB installed. Though it is mostly the big fat I told you so I am dreading.
In 2 years I activated XP 3 times. In 6 months I have already exceeded that by more than double. Last time it did it to me because I upgraded the video drivers like a deviant little thief. Because only deviant little thieves upgrade their video drivers.
Is there anyway to make Vista more tolerant of normal usage?
I added an external hard drive, keyboard and mouse. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I haven't had to reactivate mine as well. Microsoft sucks for foisting this activation crap on the end user.
