Becoming administrator?

Hello all. Well I installed Windows Vista Ultimate x64 a few weeks ago. I didnt know the administrator account was hidden, so I worked on the account I created when I installed windows during these weeks.

Just today I read that the real administrator account is hidden. I unlocked it, but I want to know if there's any way to make the default account the administrator one, cause I dont want to have to move all my settings and files to the other account. Is that possible?

Also, when I right click things on that administrator account, I keep getting the "run as admin" thing, so is it really administrator or what? Thanks.

Hello Paisa90,

You may find these tutorials useful

please note in the second tutorial - Brink's comment :
If you enable the hidden Built-in Administrator Account, it is recommended that you do not use this account all the time since everything installed and running on your computer will also have full access to computer too. Instead, I would recommend that you use it for administrative purposes only, and then use a Standard or normal administrator user account that is restricted for everyday tasks for better security.

Hope that helps
