Title says it all. I'd like to be able to have Explorer set to "open folder in same window" but when there are folder(s) selected, control-enter opens it/them in new windows.

I don't get why they changed it. Right clicking the mouse to then click Open bites. :)

There should be a way. Did you look in the View settings?

P.S. I know there is a way! I just have to remember it.

The view settings supposedly determine if Open or Explore is the default command. Whichever way I set it, it does Open in same window. Which is fine. I just don't want to right click, then click Open to open in a different window. XP you do Control Enter and it works. For some reason it looks like they took the hotkey out. I'm looking around at hotkey utilities but every one of those things that mess with the desktop or add a button to Explorer seem to make things act flaky. At least the free ones I've tried. I guess I have to get used to multi selecting and right clicking. Just seems much more natural to Control Enter though.

If there's no hotkey that does it then it may mean I'd have to use a mouse emulator macro thing. The prospect doesn't thrill me. :)

As I said, I am sure there is a way. I just need time to mess... I'm at school now, so I cant... :( Stupid school computers...
