Need help (noob)

Please Someone help

i'm having problem with my tower like it would always turn off and than on and than off and than on but like i could log on still and than it would turn off and run a restore or something please help

Hello Itzjjae, and welcome to Vista Forums.

See if unplugging your computer, cross the CMOS jumper pins or remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes and replace (this is to reset the BIOS and CMOS), then plug the computer back up. Now see if it will start normally for you.

Can you tell us how old your computer is and how long has this been going on. Do you keep it where it can get plenty of air circulating around it, and can you remember what you were doing when this first happened.

Oh and welcome to the forum, hopefully someone should be able to help you sort out your problem. ;)

Sounds like Corruption of Windows and/or Hardware issues. Hard to tell from the limted info you are providing.
Try reinstalling onto the same partition Vista is already on. You will have the opportunity to create a "Windows.old" folder which will perserve all your User Data.
Or try a system restore.

i dont know how to put it to in a clear way im sorry

but i could tell you that i can't even get up to the log in part

it would just turn on and than turn off and the tower power would blink yellow than green and than yellow and so on


its a dell too
