Error on Hard Disk 2 message

I have a two month old Dell Studio Mini and it has been great but, a few weeks ago my wife called and said when she started the computer she got a black screen that said something like "Windows did not shut down properly the last time, would you like to start in SafeMode?" When she got it started a toolbar was missing. When I got home I ran Norton DiskDoctor and immediately got a message that said : "Error on Hard Disk 2, Master Partition Table is unreadable, The Master Partion Table is physically damaged, The only way to correct this problem is from a low level format" I tried using SystemRestore but I'm still getting the same message from DiskDoctor. Have any of you had this problem? My computer is still under warranty so maybe I'll have to get with the Tech guys at Dell. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem and if so how you resolved it. Thanks :sarc:

Hi tipcom1,
This happens when when you run Norton DiskDoctor in your system, maybe the Zipdrive (Floppy Drive) is turned on in your system BIOS, Try to turn on the Zipdrive and then restart the system and then try to run the same Program in your system.

You can go to the system BIOS by Press the F2 when you restart the system and look for the Diskette Drive there and then turn it off

Hope that helps.
