Motherboard 1 long and 3 short beeps

Hello, again
im having another problem (they just keep coming) but this time it is with a brand new mmotherboard and RAM i just bought them yesterday and as the title says i get 1 short and 2 long beeps, i know what you guys will say is that i should take it back, but i would rather not as it is a two and a half hour return trip to the store (Umart for those locals) i read that it could be one of two things.
1. the Graphics card which i have checked in another board and it works
2. the RAM which i went to the store and replaced from one 2gb stick and now is 2X TEAM Xtreem 800mhz DDR2 and
2X Kingston HyperX 1066Mhz DDR2
and they are all Brand New. Except the Graphics Card (Zotac nvidia 9800GT 612MB)
are there any ideas of what i can do? as might have to drive to Umart tomorrow but would rather not. Please reply ASAP!

MotherBoard: Asus P5kPL-1600 Socket 775
CPU: intel P4 2.93Ghz
Graphics card: Zotac Nvidia 9800GT 512MB
HDD: Seagate Baracuda 250GB
RAM: 2X Kingston 1066mhz 2X team Extreme 800mhz DDR2
PSU: 550W

One long beep and three shorts beeps indicates VGA problems.
Are you sure to connect the extra power supply to your VGA card?

yes im sure that i have connected the cable, i hav also tried it in both pcie slots and another board and the card works fine. i also read on the Asus site that on my board the 1 long and 3 short beeps means that it is a ram problem

Then you have your answer. Make sure the memory cards are seated properly and check them with a memory test utility such as memtest: Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

This could very well be your problem. Try your system with just the TEAM RAM and then with just the Kingston RAM. See what happens if you try one stick of each.

i would if i could but i can't even boot to the bios, i get nothing on the screen

i have already done that and am doing it atm aswell

BTW with the post 2 above i mean 1 long 2 short. and to add to my previous i have no other computers to test the RAM on as i only have ddr and sdram comps apart from this one but i got them tested yesterday and they said it worked...
so by the looks of it, it is to be sent to the shop tomorrow, unless anyone else has any ideas.

Okay so i have tried all 4 sticks by themselves in every single slot same noise.
so i remove the ram altogether, same noise, so i remove the graphics card and leep 1 stick of ram in there same noise, so i remove everything except the CPU, same noise......................... any ideas?

I have 800Mhz ram the team is 800, and i had 800 Corsair 2GB stick and that didn't work either, i have a feeling it might be the M/B itself

Alright im removing the board nwo and guna repackage it to take away with me to the shop tomorrow, will post back in the afternoon with what they told me.

Alright back from the shop,
ends up being for some reason my P$ was incompatible with the MB :S
so i don't understand y i got those beeps though.
so i bought a cheap Intel Celeron 1400 dual core for $59AUD.
and i t works fine now

Strange outcome, but I'm glad it's fixed.

yea, well thts fixed now there's another one lol.
itz just the on board audio port is a bit dodgy.......lol

Reinstall drivers maybe?
