Can anyone advise please?

How do I start up in Safe Mode? With XP it was a matter of pressing the F8 key. With Vista, I don't recognise the choices presented.

Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,

Starting Vista in the Safe Mode is the same as in the XP, tap F8 repeatedly after the BIOS post ends and select Safe Mode on the Advanced Option Menu, then press Enter.

You can also activate the safe mode in the alternative method. Press WinKey +R, type msconfig and press Enter. In the System Configuration window click Boot tab, then click SAFEBOOT as well the Minimal, click Apply and OK. Reboot the computer. The machine will show the Windows Advanced Option Menu.

Just undo these changes to Normal Boot when done. Cheers...
