NTLDR Missing

When I start up my computer I get a black screen saying NTLDR is missing. Pres CTRL ALT DLT to restart. The only way I can get my computer to start it pressing that command and then pressing F12 at the Acer menu. It goes into the boot menu and I select my hard drive to and then it starts up. I've searched the internet and all the solutions I've found are for if you've upgraded to XP. I haven't ever upgraded this computer to another OS. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I've had a couple of these at work - and the above steps got rid of the NTLDR error.
BUT, none of the systems would boot to Windows afterwards. After several different virus removal tools were run outside of Windows we were able to get back into Windows.

You'll need to visit the Security forums for further assistance in removing the viruses if this is the case.
