Solved font appearance changed

hi everyone, i need help with my laptop.
i'm using vista business.

i'm having problem with the font of my laptop.

in firefox, every words is in bold form.
and when type using ms.word and excel, everything is in italic.

when typing in live messenger and yahoo messenger, everything also is in italic.

anyone knows what's d problem with my laptop?
need help urgently..
i'm not used to the italic n bold form..

My guess is that you are having problems with separate different applications. Can you try pressing Control+I (in live, yahoo, word or excel) and see if it takes off the italics? If Firefox, your font might be set to be too big (usually by holding the control and rolling the mouse up and down), I believe Control+0 is the standard shortcut to bring all fonts back to defaults. Or otherwise, try Tools -> Options, select Content, and look under Fonts & Colors. The size on mine is 16 (Default font: Times New Roman). Though I don't see any way to make it bold...

Is this only happening in those applications? If it's everywhere, I would check the Windows fonts:
Right click on the desktop, select Personalize.
Click Window Color and Appearance.
Click classic appearance properties... on the bottom.
In the new window (Appearance Settings), click on the button Advanced.
Pick Active Title Bar from the drop down list, and see if the bold and italic buttons are selected. If they are, check to see if it's better unselected (they are not by default).
