Vista Repair Problem

I have a Dell XPS M1530
Vista Home Basic
A few days ago i tried turning my computer on and it jsut kept restarting it self, with quick BSOD every time it boot.
Ive had this problem b4, I fixed with repair. (this time the repair disk wasnt on me, i downloaded 1, if this is the case i will try the real one at my dads house)
But this time when i try enter vista repair
It shows black screen with a mouse.
Please Help :(

Hello benny1man,
Have you tried to repair the file system from an elevated command prompt ?.
Try this and post your results.
If you have trouble getting in to your OS, try safe mode, F8 on boot-up.
Also, have you added any software/hardware to your system, or had to perform a hard shutdown ?.

i cant get onto OS when booting it takes a long time, then it gives me a quick flash BSOD and restarts the computer, same thing occures no matter wat mode i run it on.

Can you run the SFC command from the command prompt? Press F8 and choose safe mode with command prompt. Does your pc have a recovery partition?

If you cant get in to the OS, or stay there long enough to do anything, then a repair with the original disc is the best option. It may turn out to be hardware related, but for now, i would try the repair.

right now i have a repair disk i downloaaded and burnt onto a disk, my problem was that when i load the repair disk it shows black screen with white mouse. if you think this is the problem i will try the real disk this week at my dads house.

I would try a repair from the original disc.
But if that does not work, you may end up having to format, and re-install Vista.
