Problem with hard drive

Hello,

I would like you to ask why my hard drive is always restarting when I download something from torrents or trying to check errors / clean up / defragment / and etc.?

First thing to check is simply try a new cable. If it's got an external power supply (i.e. connected to a wall socket), disconnect the power and reconnect it. Restart the computer.

How do you mean, the hard drive is 'restarting'?
