Help Needed with Folder Commands

This is what I am doing

I have a folder called "c:\program files\help\tom1
and a folder called "c:\program files\help\tom2

I plan on moving the \tom1 & \tom2 folder to a removable drive

I have programs in \tom1 and I want to make a shortcut in \tom2 to point to a program in \tom1

How can I make the shortcut point to just the \help\tom1 folder instead of c:\program files\help\tom1 ?

I really want to leave out the program files part. I just can't remember how to do it. And I am sure someone here knows how. Any ideas. Thank you.

You can't exclude any part of a path argument and expect it to work...
Also if you do change this which is not advised the programs will probably stop running as the registry entries will look in the original location...
