make ur computer read to you

Hi all,

I was wondering how you can make your computer read your documents o you.
What i mean is that after im done typing up an essay i want the computer to read it back to me so i can no what it sounds like.

i remember doing this a long time ago back in high school and it was pretty neat...

You could probably use Narrator for this purpose.

Do you know of any programs for vista 64bit?
If I understood you correctly, since you seem to think the program pac gave you doesn't work with Vista 64bit, I can tell it does, I have just tried it for you.

I tried using that program but it does not seem to do what i want it to do.
What it is that i really want is a program that will read to me....in other words i want something that can read the information from word documents and power point slides so all i have to do is listen.

Actually, all you had to do with that program was to copy the text in the textfield and click the button "speak".

what word processor unit are you using? some will have a built in option for reading aloud.

i am using microsoft word professional 2009...if word can do it please explain how i would set it up.
