My sister sent me a trial email ( Windows Mail) with high contrast mode turned on. ( ie black screen with white letters) . I am unable to read the body of the text ....its all black. I can see the text only if I a) select all or b) activate high contrast mode on my computer . When I reply I cant see my typed text ( blue) unless I change font to white ! Alternative method is to now turn off high contrast after I hit the reply button.

BTW this is happening also with her mail format in HTML. I asked her to change to plain text just to see whether it can solve the problem but apparently not. She's using Vista home edition ( x64) in a Sony Vaio all in one desktop computer. I am on Win XP SP2 mail client is Outlook 2003

Why is this so strange? She needs the high contrast mode due to her vision problems but how to send email with this mode activated so her recipients can read the email without going through hoops as I have.

Tks

Problem is solved. She did not actually get around to changing Windows Mail format to Plain Text. When she did this everything works out fine. When using gmail she has to click the Plain text link when she sends the email .
