Combine files in Windows Photo with Windows Live Photo?

I am a relatively new Vista user and am overwhelmed by the overlapping of programs....I want to keep all of my videos and photos within one program on my computer. I seem to soetimes upload to Windows Live Photo, and sometime to Windows Photo. Is there a way to combine all files on these 2 programs and then delete the unused program? I like the visual format of Live Photo, so that is the one I prefer to keep. Thanks in advance for the tips.

I'm not quite familiar with either one... but I'm sure all your pics are in the Pictures folder and all your videos are in the Videos. So you can just import...

Another alternative is Picasa (if you want one). It automatically scans your whole computer for pics and videos, so it wouldn't be a hassle to find them. It is centrallized in one location.

Another alternative, if you're using Office 2007, is Microsoft Office Picture Manager, which is a GREAT app for both viewing and editing your images. It's very user friendly and very good. If you're using an older version of Office, its predecessor was Photo Editor -- also a great app with virtually the same functions.

I used to use Photo Editor exclusively, and now with 2007, I use Picture Manager exclusively. If you choose to do so also, neither is the default, but they are on the system (Picture Manager is located in Office Tools and if I remember correctly, Photo Editor was located in Office Accessories), and you can easily make them the default if you choose.

If I correctly remember, it was still called Picture Manager in Office '03
