Hi Forum,
The following alerts appeared in the above and I do not know what to do about them. One suggestion was to Format my CDrive which I am loth to do because it was done a few month's ago to Factory Settings,,a pain. Maybe someone can help.

Severity..Warning..A high rate of 114 split 1/0 per second was detected. Consider size of 1/0 processes compared to disc format size and defragment or reformat any discs with a high split 1/0 rate....

Severity..Info...the average disc queue length is 4. The disc may be at it's maximum capacity due to throughput and disc seeks......

I should state that I generally maintain my PC perfectly..ie. Defrags, DiscCleanups. checking Hard Drive and all SAFE recommended processes. System is Windows Vista Home Premium (64bit). Have also ran Memory Checks..perfect.

The first thing is to back up any important information. Then make sure that your HardDrive is ok. Go to the website of the manufacturer and test it.

Hello Rich,
Thanks. Went to Device Manager to check Disk. It does not give the Manufacturer's name..just states this is Standard Disc. I presume it is Microsoft and it also gives a number..two, in fact, I have two HDs. What should I do and how do I check it ? I am not very technical I should add. By the way, it states the devices are working perfectly in Device Manager. Further elaboration appreciated.

Hello Rich,
Here is present situation:

Completed the following with Seagate:-
SMART disc check................................both discs passed
Short Generic check ............................ both discs passed
Short Drive Self Test ........................... both discs passed

I did not complete the Longer tests because they seemed to be taking forever but
I feel the Discs are o'kay. The warning message I alluded to in System Health has also
disappeared. Before all this I performed an IN DEPTH Optimisation and Full Defrag with
my Auslogics software. Thanks again and matters seem to be in hand...I am not technical enough to go any deeper.

Great, your Hard Drive seems fine now. Your actions were sufficient to remove the Health Report notice. Post if you have any further problems.
