I want to show certain photos and not show other photos in my Vista photo screensaver. Following the guidelines I tag all the photos appropriate to this task. Then following the guidelines I put the tags that I want to see in the textbox labeled "with this tag" and the tags that i don't want to see in the textbox labeled "don't show items with this tag". These text boxes are in the "Settings" option under the "Photo" selection of the "Screensaver" selection under the "Personalization" under "control panel".
If I put just one tag in the "with this tag" text box the screensaver works perfectly in both preview and actual modes. When I try to add a second tag to the "with this tag" textbox and separate the two tags by a semicolon as directed to in the guidelines for this screensaver, I get the error "No pictures or videos match the tag you entered". It doesn't matter which two tags I put in this textbox I always get this error. I've gone through ever tag and the screensaver works with all tags as long as there is only one. Multiple tags produce the error.
A similiar problem occurs with multiple tags in the "don't show items with this tag" text box. I don't get an error with multiple tags but the screensaver shows the photos tagged and put in this text box. In other words, it doesn't give me an error message but it also ignores whatever tag I put into this text box when I put in more than one.
It's like semicolons are not recognized at all by this textboxes. The screensaver functions with all the other functions - themes and time delay and logon screen etc. It's just when more than one tag is put in that it doesn't work. I've found two other people on another forum with this same problem one had Vista Premium and one had Vista Basic.
I have pictures that are not appropriate for mixed company that are coming up on my screen. My only option is to turn off this function because right now it's ALL pictures or NO pictures. Please help.
