Grey screen

Help!

I have dell inspiron laptop with vista, i turned it on the other day and i was getting a grey screen with a message saying it was runnin some sort of recovery this went on for hours then would restart the laptop and start again. i tried a system recovery and that didnt work they power got cut half way through and now iam getting the boot manager screen and i cant do anything not even press the f2 keys or anything i have tried putting the installation disk in and i still keep getting the boot manager screen :cry:

Try in safe mode. Press the F8 key rapidly during boot or has that been tried?

Do you know if your lappy has a recovery drive to return to factory specs?

During boot try hitting f11 nothing
alt and fl11

If it works your computer will be like the day you took it home. Yes you lose the pics of vacation etc. Its your call.

Hitting means tapping quickly and rapidly in succession.
