So my, I'm trying to open some space on my computer went downhill!! I was uninstalling unwanted apps and saw Application X and didn't recall ever installing it or seeing it before so I uninstalled and now my computer is acting not so good! Takes forever to boot - and doesn't always boot up! HELP Please! Can I do anything or do I need to take it in to a tech?

Oh sorry Application X is a web hosting service ( i thought you were using it as a reference to an unnamed software :o sorry)

EDIT; in knowing this i do not think uninstalling Application X should have caused the problems you have described, but i may be wrong.

If you do not have success with System Restore then try these other two tutorials;

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67612-check-disk-chkdsk.html

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files-sfc-command.html

If these other two options fail you then have a look at this one;

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/91467-startup-repair.html

EDIT; I just had an afterthought have a look in your start up items and if there is an entry for Application X then disable it (Option Two / Method two of this tutorial);

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disable.html

Also check to see if Application X has left behind any running services;
